In 1952, Emile Martin decides to bottle the wine from five barrels. He is the first one to propose his wine in bottles.
Nowadays, Dominique Martin is the fourth generation of this family of winewakers, whose know-how is serving the vineyard and the wine.
Located in Saint-Fiacre-sur-Maine, the most wine producing region in France 20 kms South East of Nantes, our 35 ha vineyard is at the heart of the AOC Muscadet Sèvre et Maine.
Light and pebbly soils, and gneiss subsoils are the "terroir" of our vines.
Grape quality is the prime requirement for a vintage wine. The vineyard is maintained in order to obtain rich and healthy grapes.
We use thermo-controlled fermentation.
Our wines are traditionally matured on their lees of vinification.
A part of the wine is stored in oak barrels and the other part in underground tanks to ensure regular temperature and thus, good preservation.
After tasting, wines are blended according to their soil origin, in order to obtain the best balance.
Our whole production is bottled in spring to guarantee constant quality throughout the year.
